Creative Lab L is based on a laboratory between art, design and product. The goal is to confuse established knowledge and discover the other side of what is already known.
The original plan of the work "Piercing the Surface" is composed of a 3-meter high, 3-layer stainless steel scaffold and three 1.2 meter diameter black balloons. The hardness of stainless steel and the softness of the balloons appear tense and contradictory in a park environment. The fragility of balloons in this framework structure and in public environments is evident, with the direct result being that only one balloon was left after bursting, and a huge "cotton swab" was used to pierce the last balloon.
People's judgment of a given fact is usually based on the surface, and seeing the facts behind the surface as much as possible has become such an important part of our current life, whether on screen or in public spaces. We try to practice and perfect a absurd realism, playfully questioning the current situation, and the unfinished state of this work is also a better response to this theme.
